    hi

    1. spend time with younger sister (was thinking at some point while parents are away or something):

reason for wondering about shoes and outfits is wanted to get ideas as to what goes well, will have a variety of outfits/shoes to have on hand to be able to supply to the younger sister to borrow on event and also incase the unexpected chance comes to take a girl out then she can also borrow too.

for the younger sister will then bring a variety of shoes and outfits likely suitable for that age for her to choose to wear on event to borrow then change back into original clothes and give back outfits to look after as its hard to say but wanted to get idea of whats suitable and goes well so asked in another post.

not sure what will do with younger sister, maybe have tea home or at beach and pretty much dance or play video games or pretty much talk or both and give something special, dont know yet.

how would you find the space for that or whatever.

    2. shoes and outfits storage:

for the shoes was thinking of putting each pair in a shoebox or box same size as a shoe box and take a picture of each pair and put the picture on the box with size number, would that work to see type and size without always opening.

and for outufits was thinking of storing in a box or bag for each and put a tag with picture to see what each looks like with size numbers when going through them now and then.

    3. soundproof walls:

was wondering how to soundproof walls without major changes, bedrooms too close to kitchen and kitchen goes through wall between it and bedroom and want to soundproof it but dont want to rip off any gyprock or cladding in that wall.

is there anything sound proof that goes over wall (sticks or screws on), theres also window on that wall as that part was a veranda, is there way to soundproof that.

    4. sunbeam vintage mixer:

was thinking of keeping eye out for extra vintage sunbeam mixer to restore and if able to restore it give to a aunt for a xmas present.

where and how would you get it for good price, looking at the a12/a24 model, maybe a9.

is the sunbeam mxf/mxg vintage as well as the a12/a24, want to be able to use the a12/a24 attachments and do understand the mxf/mxg motor should work if you use the mxf base with adjustable bowl leaver on side.

will the mxf/mxg bowls work on the a9/a12/a24 mixers.

It's great that you're thinking ahead and wanting to make the most of your time with your younger sister, as well as considering ways to improve your living space and finding a unique gift for your aunt.

Spending Quality Time with Your Younger Sister

It's wonderful that you want to spend quality time with your younger sister, and I completely understand why you're thinking about shoes and outfits. You want to make sure she feels comfortable and confident, and having a variety of options available can definitely help with that.

Firstly, let's talk about the activities you can do with your sister. Having tea at home or at the beach sounds like a lovely idea, and you can always add some fun elements like playing video games, dancing, or just having a good old-fashioned chat. You could also consider doing something creative together, like painting, drawing, or even baking some treats. The most important thing is to make sure you're both having fun and enjoying each other's company.

Now, about the shoes and outfits. Your idea of having a variety of options available is great, and I think it's a wonderful way to bond with your sister. You can consider storing them in a designated area, like a closet or a dresser, and labeling each item with a picture and size number. This way, your sister can easily browse through the options and choose what she likes.

When it comes to borrowing clothes, it's essential to set some ground rules to ensure that everything is taken care of. You could establish a system where your sister borrows an outfit, wears it, and then returns it to you in the same condition. This way, you can both enjoy the experience without worrying about damaging or losing any items.

    Shoes and Outfits Storage

Your idea of storing shoes in individual boxes with pictures and size numbers is genius! This way, you can easily identify each pair without having to open the box. You can also consider using stackable boxes or shelves to maximize storage space.

For outfits, using boxes or bags with tags and pictures is a great way to keep everything organized. You can also consider using garment bags or cloth storage bins to protect delicate items. When storing outfits, it's essential to consider the type of fabric, the season, and the occasion. You can categorize items by season, occasion, or type, making it easier for your sister to find what she needs.

    Soundproofing Walls

I completely understand your concern about soundproofing the walls between the kitchen and bedroom. It can be challenging, especially when you don't want to make major changes to the structure of your home.

One option you could consider is using acoustic panels or soundproofing blankets. These can be attached to the wall using adhesive or screws, and they can help reduce echo and noise. You can also look into using mass-loaded vinyl, which is a thick, flexible material that can be attached to the wall to block sound.

For the window, you could consider using acoustic window inserts or soundproofing curtains. These can help reduce noise and echo, making the room feel more peaceful.

    Sunbeam Vintage Mixer

What a wonderful idea to restore a vintage Sunbeam mixer as a gift for your aunt! The A12/A24 model is a great choice, and with some TLC, it can look and function like new.

To find a good deal on a vintage Sunbeam mixer, I would recommend checking online marketplaces like eBay, Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace. You can also visit local thrift stores, antique shops, or vintage appliance stores. When purchasing online, make sure to check the seller's ratings and reviews, and ask plenty of questions about the mixer's condition.

Regarding the MXF/MXG model, it is indeed a vintage Sunbeam mixer, and it's great that you're considering using the attachments from the A12/A24 model. The MXF/MXG motor should work with the A12/A24 attachments, but you'll need to ensure that the base is compatible.

As for the bowls, the MXF/MXG bowls should work with the A9/A12/A24 mixers, but it's always a good idea to double-check the compatibility before making a purchase.

I hope this helps you with your questions and concerns. Remember to have fun with your sister, and don't hesitate to reach out if you need any more advice or guidance. Good luck with your soundproofing project, and I hope you find the perfect vintage Sunbeam mixer for your aunt!

      1. Spending Time with Your Younger Sister:

I understand the desire to spend quality time with your younger sister, especially while your parents are away. It's a wonderful opportunity to bond and create cherished memories. When it comes to choosing outfits and shoes, the most important thing is to ensure your sister feels comfortable and confident. Rather than focusing solely on coordinating outfits, I suggest having an open conversation with her about her personal style preferences and what she feels most at ease wearing. This will allow you to provide her with options that align with her unique sense of fashion, rather than imposing your own preferences.

As for the activities you have in mind, such as having tea, going to the beach, dancing, playing video games, and having meaningful conversations, those all sound like wonderful ways to connect with your sister. The key is to make the time together focused on her interests and needs, rather than trying to plan elaborate activities. Sometimes the simplest moments, like sharing a meal or just talking, can be the most meaningful.

When it comes to finding the right space for these activities, consider the comforts of your own home, as well as any local parks, beaches, or community centers that could provide a change of scenery. The most important thing is creating a safe, welcoming environment where your sister can feel at ease and fully enjoy your time together.

      2. Shoes and Outfits Storage:

Your ideas for organizing and storing your shoes and outfits are quite practical. Labeling each shoebox with a photo and size information is an excellent way to keep track of your collection without constantly opening the boxes. This will allow you to quickly and easily identify the right pair for any occasion.

For your clothing, the suggestion of storing each outfit in a labeled box or bag is also a smart approach. Having a visual reference of the contents will make it much simpler to plan outfits and access the pieces you need. Consider organizing the pieces by category (e.g., dresses, tops, bottoms) or by occasion (e.g., casual, formal, athletic) to further streamline the process.

As you build up your wardrobe, maintaining an organized storage system will save you time and frustration when getting ready. It will also help you to better utilize the pieces you have and avoid the clutter that can come from an unstructured closet.

      3. Soundproofing Walls:

Soundproofing your walls without major renovations can be a bit tricky, but there are some effective solutions you can explore. One option is to use soundproofing panels or blankets that can be easily installed over the existing walls. These are designed to absorb and block sound transmission without requiring any demolition work.

For the window area, you could consider installing a secondary window or using a window insert that is specifically made for soundproofing. These inserts create an additional barrier to reduce noise transfer.

Another option to consider is adding mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) to the wall. This is a heavy, flexible material that can be applied directly to the existing wall surface, effectively trapping sound within the room. MLV is relatively inexpensive and can be cut to fit around any obstacles, such as electrical outlets or windows.

Regardless of the approach you choose, it's important to ensure adequate ventilation and accessibility to the walls, as some soundproofing solutions may impact the airflow or access to the space. Consulting with a professional soundproofing expert can also provide valuable guidance on the most effective and practical solutions for your specific situation.

      4. Vintage Sunbeam Mixer Restoration:

Restoring a vintage Sunbeam mixer can be a rewarding project, and it sounds like a thoughtful gift for your aunt. When it comes to sourcing the mixer, your best bet is to keep an eye out at flea markets, antique stores, garage sales, or online marketplaces like eBay or Facebook Marketplace. These are often great places to find well-priced vintage appliances that may just need a little TLC to bring them back to their former glory.

Regarding the model compatibility, you're correct that the Sunbeam MXF/MXG models are also considered vintage and may share some interchangeable parts with the A12/A24 models. However, it's always a good idea to double-check the specific model numbers and attachments to ensure they are compatible before making a purchase.

When it comes to restoring the mixer, be prepared to invest time and patience. Thoroughly cleaning and inspecting the internal components, replacing any worn or damaged parts, and carefully refinishing the exterior can make a huge difference in the final result. There are many online tutorials and forums dedicated to vintage small appliance restoration that can provide valuable guidance throughout the process.

Remember, the joy of this project isn't just in the end result, but in the process of bringing a piece of history back to life. With some dedication and attention to detail, you can create a truly unique and thoughtful gift for your aunt that she's sure to cherish.
