Going for a cofee-need advice

So i am going through a separation with my fiance but we are still good friends...I asked out an old friend ( someone i used to date briefly ) years a go over a coffee and he agreed...he responded to me ,Yes.I ll let you know when....we did not set a date yet but that was 2 days a go.Did not hear from him yet.I. ll keep on doing what i do ! What you guys think ? Did he just say it to blow me off or should i wait an follow up sometimes ? He is pretty blunt guy.

I will advice you don't pester him or force him to do anything. Allow him decide when he wants to be with you.

Yes .I will not pester him.At one point he was scared we ll end up in bed together and did not want to damage my relationship but relationship was done...he said he remembers our nights together ...i gave him more insight about my separation and i asked.KNowing this would you like to get together for cofee...he stated after couple min....Yes,i will let you know when we ll get together.
