I met this guy about two months ago who was just one month out of a two year relationship. After telling me several times that he’s over his ex we started getting pretty serious very fast. He told me things like me meeting his parents and if I wanted to go on a city trip with him. Last week I finally decided that I was ready to have my first time with him. But right before we were about to do it he told me that a serious relationship would only be far in the future and that he first wants to enjoy being si gle and a free man. I was very hurt because for me a F+ kinda thing is not something i want. I told him that it couldn’t go on like this between us because it would only hurt me. He was very understanding and now asked me if it would be okay for me to still text and go for a drink from time to time. I am now very confused about what I’m supposed to do. Would it be better to completely delete him out of my life or should I take his “offer”?

Well I'm going to disagree with all the other replies.
You said the guy was understanding. He offered a low pressure "dating-lite" situation that sounds perfectly fine to me. You shouldn't be exclusive with a guy in his situation that fast anyway, it would be just stupid. If you don't want to be an "easy lay" or a FWB,...then just keep you pants zipped up,...problem solved. His reaction to that will tell you right away if he is worth bothering with or not.
So it is simple. Go on causal dates with him for now. Keep you pants zipped up. Do not go on long trips or overnight trips. Do not meet "the family" and only a small number of his friends. Those are all things you do ONLY after you are exclusive boyfriend/girlfriend. Don't think about exclusivity for at least two months (7-8 dates). Until you become exclusive you should be seeing other guys (also casual ONLY) at the same time to give you a proper perspective so you don't get tunnel-vision.

Every man on Earth, from the time he was a boy, dreamed of growing up to be the kind of hero who would save the world—and get the girl at the same time.
Most men don’t get to indulge their world-saving side in their 9-5 jobs.
Circumstances don’t call for them to rip off their corporate ties and spring into action, revealing their superman side. Maybe they can’t save the world. But they can still get the girl.
Getting the girl is a worthy challenge for an ordinary guy with the heart of a superhero. It takes superhuman confidence. Superhuman charm. Superhuman immunity to pain. Now, all he needs to find is…
A girl who needs a hero. Do You Need a Hero? Let me guess… That’s not you.
You’re strong. You’re independent. You can fix a leaky faucet. You can drive a stick shift. You can take care of yourself. You’re never going to make that Jerry Maguire mistake of looking for a man to complete you.
Instead, you have a lot to offer a man. you are gorgeous . Kind. Loving. Giving to a fault. All you want is to find a man who’s willing to receive all you have to give.
And that’s why heroes aren’t showing up in your life. That’s why you’ve ended up with so many takers instead. Guys who take everything you have and leave you high and dry. If you want a hero, then you need to advertise for one. Here’s how to know if signs he’s into you
