Why so people find shame in online dating?

Why do people find online dating embarrassing? Does finding someone online really affect other people that much? I mean, if you met someone who is really meant
for you and compatible to you, does it really even matter where or how you met them? Why can’t people just be supportive when someone finds someone they genuinely love?

I even met my hubby on an online dating site. Where’s the shame in that? I’m proud to say that even though he was on the other side of the world,
I found my soulmate. People could go searching their whole lives and never find theirs. Why judge? Do whatever makes you happy, right?

I don't find shame in it I find it hard to find real people on the Aps. And have something else to go on other then looks.

But I agree where ever you find happiness is good.

I think most people in today's day and age have at least tried online dating, if not use it mainly for finding their partners.

What gets dull is all the posts on here pretty much advertising for foreign dating sites/tours. Those I really don't understand the point of, why set yourself up for a relationship that is going to have more complications and hurdles to overcome, by the very nature of the dating itself? Why wouldn't you seek out local people. There's enough of them.

There is no shame in it but you should sometimes listen to what people tell you, because you might get scammed if you fall into the wrong hands.
