hi
started a new post just for work and business.
was wondering how people know when its time to start own business and be own boss or go up ladder to managers position or both. been wanting to be own boss for a while and stayed in job too long and waited until unable to do it or something else popped up such as a sale or closure and now am behind even though am getting by.
plus haven't yet got all tools and training and dont want to take shortcuts and advertise until all that plus more is in place as you need tools and training and insurances and stuff in place and all that will cost money and will take time and have to do things bit by bit and buy tools and training as money allows and cant and dont want to start advertising until all is in place.
Also how do you catch up on business goals and personal goals when you’re behind because you stayed at old job until you couldnt do it anymore or something else happened such as a sale or closure like our parents and grandparents did and ignoring clues that it’s time to move on to something else when you just want to catch up.
Am doing well just want to catch up a little and am behind because of staying at job too long.
How do you catch up faster. have done a construction site induction training that teaches safety and how to fill out incident reports and how to read the signs and the ppe to wear to hopefully be in a better position later.
even though will only be doing handyman jobs and putting up antennas on new builds and testing and repairing tradies power tools you still got to have a induction card, in australia they call it a white card and you got to have one for anything on a construction and building site no matter how small the job is. once finances get better or everything else is paid for and have caught up then will look in to first aid training which will benefit things later too.
nothing is yet in place with the work goals because may need more training and will need tools and theyll all cost money and cant have it all at once, how do you get as far ahead as your cousin did with his shed installing business with your goals.
what can you do to do a few things now with less insurance and training without having all that in place (just until you have everything needed) to have that feeling of being your own boss where you might do a couple things now and then on side for people.
heard of people building things and selling them or finding things at op shops and off side of road and cleaning them up and selling them. how do you get your stuff on ebay and gumtree to sell and attract viewers and buyers,
where else can you sell your stuff to if you dont have anywhere at moment to have garage sales or just a place to sell your stuff.
thanks
