  • Homebase FM DIY Store music

Hi Everyone, this might seem like a strange request but here goes.

I'm based in the United Kingdom and i've heard some music in the Homebase DIY stores that I'm trying to find, Homebase have their own radio station "Homebase FM" that is aired via satellite by DMX music (i know this because my friend works for homebase)

Theres a few tracks and I'm trying to find the name and artist of

    The first one is :

Sung by a female, and is of light pop genre

Some of the main chrous lyrics read :

    "Nothing that I can do,

All I can do is turn to you,

Making dreams come true, spending days with you"

Kinda sounds like the 90's UK band dubstar but it isnt them as I've been told by DMX music that the music used on Homebase FM is by Unsigned and Emerging artists.

The second track is or a Reggae genre

The chorus of that goes like :

A Picture of My Love (or Self), A picture of my loooove

Sorry haven't got much more to go off, but it's quite a happy caribbean sounding track.

I really hope someone knows which tracks these are because I've spent weeks searching the internet.

DMX music are unable to tell me any names of the tracks used on Homebase FM :/

    Thanks in advance.

Bump - I work at Homebase and I want to know the whole playlist. Some of the music they play gets quite catchy after a while.

I know two songs they play which are:

    Helen Austin - Happy
    Helen Austin - Ordinary Girl

Now I just want to know the rest. Theres a soft rock / indie piece in there that I'm really interested to know who sings that I know has the lyrics "through the night" in it, but the rest is mostly drowned out by our customers... and theres another pop song in there that I want to know that goes
    "Together we'll try.
By your side to the end.
    Together we'll try it again."

There are a few that's quite catchy in Homebase. No idea with song titles/artists of any played in there though - the Helen Austin ones are decent

Heard a member of staff in my local store singing bits on one earlier; "Just another girl..."

        Hi all,

On a similar note - I worked for Hombase 1999-2002 and it's driving me mad trying to remember some of the music.

The majority I've managed to find by remembering the lyrics (Like kd lang's "Summerfling") but there's one that I just can't find anywhere. It's a girl group, sort of pop-punk and the opening lyrics are "My heart breaks in to a thousand pieces, every time we part".

If anybody has a artist playlist from wa back then I'd be very grateful.

I agree, the unsigned stuff their playing now is quite good, the aforementioned Helen Austin fr example. By the way, is it a Helen Austin song in one of the iphone advrts?
