I want to buy my gf a mattress

The first time I went to her place was a few days ago after meeting her for the first time at an international dating social event here in her hometown. I have to admit, at first I was shocked at how she lived in a small place with unsightly conditions. The first thought that went through my head was to offer her a new place to stay but since we’re still new, I decided to get something she needed the most which was a new mattress. Her mattress was as thin as a pile of cardboard boxes which got me so worried for her physical health (do note that my brain might be exaggerating this part.) I’ll be heading back home in a couple of days and before I leave, I was thinking of surprising her with a new mattress and a few other household commodities. What do you guys think? Is it too much? Would she feel like I’m moving our newly found romance too quickly?

many people prefer sleeping on a mat rather than a mattress. buying a new girlfriend a mattress is about the worst thing you could possibly do. would communicate your primary interest in her is sex. i would suggest you tell her you will be leaving soon and would like to gift her for the great time you had with her in a foreign country. tell her you would like to know what would be appropriate and most cherished by her.

so many guys buy things a girl doesn't want but accepts to not hurt feelings while she desperately needs something else. communications is key to a successful relationship. please get off on the right path with her.

Your relationship with her is still very new. So, don't start spending so much money on gift for her. It's a wrong way to build a relationship.

Good thing to do but you really don't know if she will appreciate it. So, just playfully ask her if she likes her mattress or will prefer another one. Her response will tell you if she will appreciate you getting a new a mattress for her.
