  • Question do you think it is ok to have Platonic friends of the Opposite sex?

Good Morning all and I figured to kick my first post off with a bang. I have been having this debate with friends, my SO and online. Do you think that it is ok to have Opposite sex? How about Having ex's as friends?

My thought is that if you trust your partner then I don't see a issue. But if there are any trust issues I think that they need to be addressed before it became a problem. But I am interested in what others think.

I think it depends on the specific friendship.

I tend to lean towards yes, you absolutely can. But only if it's truly platonic. If there's any weird sexual tension, if one person has a crush on the other, if there is inappropriate flirting going on when one person is in a relationship, I think you need to evaluate how platonic the friendship really is.
    But yeah, in general, sure.
As long as you're being respectful and not giving your partner reasons to distrust you.

It's not ideal to have an ex as a friend when in a relationship with someone else. It will create trust issues with your partner, so to avoid this from happening it's not a good idea to have an ex as a friend.

I for one don't like my girlfriend keeping her ex as friend.
