Hello I'm new and joined because i have a question that's been eating me up. I've been with my bf for 3 years and the relationship has had its ups and down and we've had a few breaks mainly due to the fact that i feel he doesn't care much about me. My main question is ; is loving someone because they love you really love? I always feel like he doesn't really love me, like who i am as a person and just me in general. When i ask him why he loves me he always responds with "because you love me" or "because you're so good to me" or "because you make me feel happy" or "because you loved me at my worst" or things like that. Is that really loving me or just loving how i make him feel? Or is that the same thing?

love is a two way street. your guy is slinging you familiar playboy lines to stop short of making a commitment to you. he likes the way you treat him so doesn't want to lose you.he must rate you as a great lover. if he loved you uniquely he would say so. he is not interested in a lasting relationship.

You boyfriend loves you, and it doesn't matter if you feel he doesn't love you. The fact is that you can't love someone who hates you. You can only reciprocate love to those who love you. Also, if he loves you because of you physical appearance, then that's not love but infatuation. So what he has for you is true love.
