    Hi everyone,

    I came here for help and advice about wet dreams (nocturnal emissions).

    I know that a catholic forum should be more adequate but I came there and the only advice I got was to pray but I already do that and it does not thing to work and my spiritual father is in holidays and even so I would prefer to not talk about that with him since I feel shamefull :'(

    Therefore, since maybe some people have experienced that by practicing love and relationship, they could help me.

    So I just explain you my case quickly :

    I'm catholic believer and since I'm not married, I don't have sexual intercourse.

    I always had wet dreams in the past but they were not frequent (like 1 every 5-6 month) and I know that there are not a sin, per se, if you have not "cause" them in a sense, for instance by starring a beautifull women or thinking about something sexual.

    The problem that I faced is that over the past 3 month I got 2 wet dreams and I suspect that I have cause one of them :'( (I would explain it below) and I would like to know if there is a way to control yourself to not have wet dreams or to restrain your lust besides prayers.

    So for instance, if I took what I suspect to be the cause of my last nocturnal emission : I was at the gym and there are only 2 squat racks (small gym) and a girl asked me if we could share the rack. I don't like to wait for a rack and since we were almost the same height, we just had to deload between set so I said ok. Since we are in August and there is no air conditionning, she was slightly dressed but well I am packed in my hoodies and focus on my sets so it was not problem for the moment. Problem is at some point, she asked me if I could spot her. I was reluctant but I said yes (I should have said no) and told myself I would be fine (I was wrong I guess). Despite inner prayer, I looked at her while spotting her, also her perfume was nice :'( Had to spot her two times, she asked me a few advice for squat, thanks me and we leave it there.

    the night after, I had this wet dreams :'(

    I did confess that but soon after like one month after got another wet dreams but that time I believe I did nothing to provoke it but nevertheless I'm worried about the frequency.

    Therefore, I would like to know if you have some mental or physical cue or tips or things, beside prayers cause I already do that, to control wet dreams or try to not make them happen.

    Does anyone did face the same situation of frequent nocturnal emissions ?

    I'm sorry to bother you about that but I don't really know where to seek advice from. I'm not really at ease discussing that all with my friends, I just ask to two of my best friends who are like brothers to me but one respects my belief but thinks it is bullshit and tell me there is nothing to control cause that's natural and the other is like the exact opposite of me so as he told me laughing out loud : "do you really believe I could have wet dreams" ... indeed he is not able to provide any advice

    The only advice that I have from a catholic forum was to pray, like if I don't already do that ... I know that should be enough but as a matter of fact it is not and I would love to know if there is something to do before I could recover my inner peace.

    For the moment, the only "solution" is to exhaust myself in sports but now I feel the need to recover and as I will not be able to do as much sports for 1-2 week (I will go back to my 4-5 trainings a week) until I recover, I fear that in the meantime I sin again.

    Sorry for the long post, any help is appreciated even an incentive.

    Specialists are not yet sure what causes nocturnal emission, but the most probable theories are related with over masturbation and sexual thoughts. The juice is a powerful remedy and the leaves, used as a vegetable, have the same effects. Bottle gourd juice can also be mixed with sesame oil. The mixture is not to be consumed, but massaged on the scalp before sleeping. It provides relaxation and it ensures a peaceful sleep.

    In order to stop nocturnal emission problem, it is recommended to be calm and relax, and to even practice relaxation techniques like yoga, for achieving this goal. A balanced diet and a daily routine can also put you on the right track. Herbal supplements such as NF Cure along with Shilajit can be very beneficial in this case.

Take fenugreek with honey on a regular basis. Intake of curd daily helps one sleep better without any disturbances. Bottle gourd juice is also known to induce better sleep. Eating onions aids in reducing wet dreams. Bathing with essential oils mixed in bath can be relaxing.

      One should keep one's mind from wandering. Indulge in hobbies. Listen to relaxing music and read good books. Avoid tea and coffee. Eat healthy food and drink plenty of water to help body release the toxins from the body. Exercise regularly and practice yoga to keep the body and mind calm and relaxed.

        Thank you very much for your help, it is very much appreciated.

        I will try the sage tea, bottle gourd and try to avoid physical contact at gym since I have less willpower at the moment to not fight against impure thought.

        For the rest, my lifestyle already makes me do your advice since I do not masturbate (as it will be a lot bigger sin than my current problem), I exercise a lot but do not take AAS so no rise in testosterone that could lead to nocturnal emission, and I always read or pray before sleep so I'm relax before going to bed.

        For the bottom of my heart, thank you very much for helping me out.

        I will make a prayer for you if you want (I know some people of different religions or atheist prefer not to so let me know if so).
