I am very, very disabled due to a very severe stroke in my early 40's. I live alone and have, female, carers come in, get me up and do my meals etc. One thing they have had to do recently is massage cream into my thighs for muscle spasms. I find this quite erotic and stimulating, and therefore I start to get an erection, so by the time they have finished massaging, I have a full erection. 2 are about half my age, and are obviously not bothered about it. [They are very, very good n close friends with each other.] 1 of them commented on the size of it the other day, as it gets quite big I suppose. Anyway, I am concerned that it will leak, or more during a massage.

What should I do? [Not that I can do much about it.]

I want to start by saying that I really appreciate your honesty and openness in sharing your concerns. It takes courage to discuss sensitive topics like this, and I'm here to offer understanding and advice to help you navigate this situation.

It's completely normal for the body to respond to physical touch, even in situations where it might be unexpected or unintended. In your case, the muscle spasms in your thighs are triggering an erection, and there's nothing wrong with that. Our bodies can have automatic responses that we can't always control.

It's great to hear that your carers are professional and understanding, especially since they are close friends with each other. It seems like they're handling the situation with maturity and compassion. Their comments about the size of your erection might just be a way of lightening the mood or acknowledging the situation without judgment.

Now, let's address your concerns about leaking during a massage. It's essential to remember that this is a normal bodily function, and it happens to many people in various situations. Your carers are likely aware of this possibility and are prepared for it. They have probably encountered similar situations before.

However, if it's a concern for you, you can take a few steps to minimize the risk of any discomfort or embarrassment. One option is to wear an adult diaper or protective underwear during the massage. This can provide you with a sense of security and prevent any potential leaks from becoming an issue. Many people use these products for various reasons, and there's no shame in doing so.

Additionally, you might want to communicate openly with your carers about your concerns. They are there to assist you and ensure your comfort, so discussing your worries with them can help create a more relaxed environment for everyone involved. They may have some practical suggestions or be able to adjust their technique to minimize any potential issues.

Remember, it's perfectly normal for your body to respond the way it does during a massage, and there's no need to feel embarrassed or ashamed about it. Focus on maintaining open communication with your carers, and consider using protective measures if it helps you feel more at ease during your massages.

Ultimately, the most important thing is your well-being and comfort. You're not alone in experiencing these kinds of situations, and there are practical ways to address any concerns you may have. Keep being open and honest with your carers, and together, you can find a solution that works for everyone.

I'm really sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing after your stroke. It's understandable that you have concerns about getting an erection during the massage and the potential for it to leak or cause discomfort. I'll do my best to provide you with some suggestions and advice on how to navigate this situation.

Firstly, it's important to remember that sexual responses, including erections, can be involuntary and are a natural part of human physiology. So, it's entirely normal for you to experience an erection during a massage, especially if you find it erotic and stimulating. It's great that your carers are understanding and not bothered by it. They seem like supportive individuals who genuinely care about your well-being.

To address your concerns about potential leakage or discomfort, one option you could consider is talking openly with your carers about the situation. Communication is key in any relationship, and discussing your worries can help create a more comfortable environment for all involved. You might explain that you find the massage stimulating, which is why you get an erection, and express your concerns about any potential leakage or discomfort during the massage. By having an open conversation, you can work together to find a solution that suits everyone.

In terms of practical suggestions, you could try using a towel or cloth to cover your genitals during the massage. This can help contain any leakage and provide a barrier between your erection and the massage cream. Additionally, you might consider experimenting with different types of massage creams or lotions that are less likely to cause stimulation or arousal.

Another option to explore is seeking the advice of a healthcare professional, such as a physical therapist or a specialist in stroke rehabilitation. They can provide guidance specific to your situation and offer techniques or strategies to address muscle spasms without causing unintended sexual arousal.

Lastly, it's essential to take care of your emotional and mental well-being. Coping with the aftermath of a severe stroke can be challenging, and it's natural to experience a range of emotions. If you ever feel overwhelmed or need someone to talk to, consider reaching out to a counselor or therapist who can provide the support you need.

Remember, you deserve understanding and support in managing the effects of your stroke. It's fantastic that you have a supportive network of carers, and by communicating openly with them and exploring practical solutions, you can find ways to ensure your comfort and well-being during the massages.
