Wife changed plans when I offered to join her

She asked me if she could go out with a friend tomorrow night to a local event. I said I wanted to go too but for some reason she assumed I would just stay home with the kids while she had fun and then tonight she decided we wouldn’t get a babysitter and we’d just stay home. To me it feels like somethings up...should I be worried?

I really don't think anything is up. She wanted to have fun without you, and that doesn't mean she had any hidden agenda.

Something might be up and at the same time nothing might be up.

She might just want to have fun without you been around, just the same way you will prefer to hang out with you friends alone without the company of your wife.
