Just curious, has anyone had a spouse cheat on them, stay and actually make it work? Is there another option other than divorce for a happy and healthy relationship? I realize everyone’s situation is different, but just wondering if there are any success stories of working through infidelity.

of course it possible but typically improbable. I find in most cheating situations it is the thrill of not getting detected or variety are the primary reasons not lack of love for the person being cheated on. I have counseled many successful reunions of cheaters and cheated couples. it usually boils down to how committed the couples are to resolution and concessions. in some cases the cheater admits to not being sure to completely avoiding in the future but still loves the one cheated on. in these cases I work to find a suitable compromise like communicate the situation rather than cheating which typically labeled a open relationship where both are aware what the other person is doing with someone else and agree on limitations. some cases i get them to become friends with the third person in the relationship and openly share the each other's feelings wheather it be mfm or fmf. some just quit cheating and agree to a monogamous relationship in the future.

Deciding to stay in a marriage after been cheated on depends on the individual. If you know you will be comfortable staying with you spouse after been cheated on and you won't use their act against them, then you can stay married to them. Otherwise, it will be best you walk away from the marriage and be happy again.

I would like to know at what point adultery is, does it begin when sex occurs or just seeing another person even without sex.
